We are asking for the bulk of runners to collect their number in advance of Race day. Details on the Rotherham 10K website "Numbers"
For those who cannot collect in advance there will be a number collection point in the marquee (marked 8 on the site layout). Number collection will start before 08:00 and will be operating until about 09:15
There will also be a bag storage area in the marquee. Those who wish to leave bags should be wearing their race number and the volunteers will attach an identifier to your bag marked with your race number. You will need to show your number to collect your bag.
There is a café in the house and we have also asked for a mobile unit to be in front of the house selling drinks and snacks.

We will have a PA system on the lawn in front of the house, and they will remind everyone of where runners need to be for the warm -up, runners briefing and race start. There will be a number of stakes and signs, adjacent to the start holding area on the surfaces road in front of the house, and these will show the expected finishing time for runners to gather. The event will have seven pacers who will be wearing flags showing the planned time for each pacer (40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65. and 70 minutes) We are asking all runners NOT to wear headphones in the race for their own safety
The race will be chip timed so you will all have a time for when you cross the start & finish timing mat.
Please take care when crossing the cattle grids – they are covered but not the full width, so there are spikes and tape at the left hand side, but it means that the width is narrower so move inwards approaching the first one particularly! The route out on the roads is on closed roads so we are not expecting any vehicles, but please use the left had side of the road in case an emergency vehicle does need to use the road.
There are 20 marshals around the course, all wearing hi viz tops if you need any assistance or first aid response please stop at a marshal point. Remote responders are outside the estate, and the marshals will call them if needed
The road through the estate is shared with other park users, so please take care when others are on the road, again we are asking all runners Not to wear headphones for their safety. There are some uneven surfaces on the estate road so please keep you eye out for these.
There is a water station near the 7Km point, where bottled water will be available from a table of the left hand side. Please do not throw bottles over the hedges please drop them on the verge as soon as you have drunk enough, we will litter pick the section after the water stage and collect all the discarded bottles. Water is also available at the finish.
The last 2 km are all gradually uphill, but are in the beautiful Wentworth estate, and there is a flat run in to the finish with the amazing backdrop of the house.
Please keep moving once across the finish line to turn right to receive your medal and a further drink of water, and leave the immediate finish area asap.
All finishers once through the finish gantry are asked to turn right and collect their race medal, there will also be cups of water available beyond the medal collection area. The race awards presentation will take place near the finish area and will probably start around 10:30. We will contact any award winners who are not able to collect on the day and arrange to get their award to them somehow.
